What is the Accreditation Process?

In the Emotion Coaching UK Emotiona-Friendly School Accreditation process, the Emotion-Friendly Transformation Program developed by Emotion Coaching Turkey Institute is implemented. The program consists of 8 steps. Within this program, after all staff members and school parents receive emotion coaching training, the Emotion Friendly Kids (EFKids) Preschool Education Program based on Emotion Coaching, which can be integrated into the school’s own curriculum, is implemented. Monthly mentoring meetings are conducted with both teachers and parents, and school visits are made. As part of this process, our institute provides one year of mentoring service to the accrediting institution, guiding the work, monitoring the progress, conducting observations, providing feedback, preparing reports, and managing the application process to lead the change in the school. Each institution is assigned a mentor affiliated with Emotion Coaching Turkey Institute, who provides individual support to the institution throughout the process.

How Long Does Accreditation Take?

The activities carried out for Emotion Coaching UK Emotiona Friendly School Accreditation take one academic year. The accreditation certificate is valid for one year. Schools that complete the accreditation process become members of the “Emotion Friendly School Network” of Emotion Coaching Turkey Institute and are recognized as accredited institutions by Emotion Coaching UK. Institutions renew their accreditation certificates each year through new activities they carry out. In this context, our institute provides consultancy for a minimum of two years.

What is the EF Kids Program?

The EF Kids Program is a social-emotional learning program implemented in schools as part of the Emotion- Friendly School Transformation Program to support the Emotion Coaching approach. The program, which is evidence-based, has been implemented in various schools since 2020. It includes various classroom arrangements, routines, and activities aimed at developing children’s social-emotional skills. The program has its own unique set of educational materials. Teachers are given educator training that explains the philosophy and implementation of the program.
